It’s hard to imagine that one of the most exciting live electronica acts in the world right now comes from a small city on the southern-most tip of Africa. But the succes...s story behind Cape Towns’ electronica phenomenon Goldfish, has been nothing short of extraordinary.

It really has been something of a landmark year for the Electro-Jazz duo Goldfish. Apart from securing deals with the international club and lifestyle super-brand Pacha and Sony in South Africa, Dom and Dave, fondly known as ‘The Fishies’ to their hordes of loyal fans, maintain a grueling international tour schedule that has seen them perform from the Sydney to Sao Paulo, and collect passport ink in 22 countries.

Along the way they've taken over the reigns of BBC1 DJ legend Pete Tong to mix the sixth installment of the internationally released 'Pure Pacha', cracked the nod to remix Bob Marley's iconic I Shot the Sheriff and have held down a residency at the worlds most famous club, Pacha Ibiza, playing alongside the likes of Basement Jaxx, Sander Kleinenberg, Will.I.Am, Faithless, Macy Gray and Fedde le Grande.

And back at home, their second album Perceptions of Pacha has just hit Platinum status with their track This Is How It Goes holding the title for the most played South African Song on radio this year.

This is Dominic Peters and David Poole, the unassuming surfer/jazz electronic maniacs that are Goldfish. You couldn’t find two guys more passionate about music, and if you’ve seen their live show you will agree that ‘Re-invention of the DJ’ is about as close as you can get to describing what they do. Combining live instruments like Double bass, Saxophone, Keyboards, Flute, and Vocals with Samplers, Effects, Synths and a healthy dollop of freeform improvisation - Goldfish have hit a nerve on dance floors across the world.
